Dan Curtis

Dan Curtis joined Thompson, Guildner & Associates, Inc., P.S. in 2023. Dan grew up in Stanwood, where he attended Lincoln Hill High School. He graduated from Washington State University cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Philosophy with minors in Ethics and Spanish, and received his Juris Doctorate degree from the University of Idaho. Dan previously worked as an environmental compliance officer at an industrial shipyard, and his primary interest is in environmental regulatory law. He  represents various cities as City Attorney and a special purpose district as general counsel. Dan also assists our many municipal clients with state and federal regulatory compliance, legislative updates, litigation matters, policy document drafting, contract disputes, and other civil work. His private practice is focused on adverse possession, boundary line and easement disputes, contract drafting and review, and regulatory compliance for businesses. Dan prides himself on his ability to navigate complex problems and devise comprehensive solutions. He was admitted to practice in Washington State in 2025.

Dan’s past volunteer work includes co-founding a collegiate chapter of the conservation organization Backcountry Hunters and Anglers at Washington State University, and serving as the Treasurer of Backcountry Hunters and Anglers at the University of Idaho. Dan is an avid outdoorsman, bringing his passion for conservation to his work in environmental regulatory law.
