About Our Firm

The firm was first established in 1971 and was originally known as Wilcox and Allendoerfer, Inc., P.S. Attorneys Nikki Thompson and Emily Guildner became Managing Partners in 2021. Over the years, the firm has established itself in Snohomish County and beyond as a leader in the representation of cities, fire districts and other special-purpose districts. Additionally, we provide legal services to corporate and private clients on a variety of matters including commercial and private real estate matters, contracts, business law, estate planning, and probate.

Thompson, Guildner & Associates, Inc., P.S. employs six attorneys with a breadth of experience and specialties. Managing Partner Nikki Thompson joined the firm in January 2020 after serving as an in-house city attorney. Managing Partner Emily Guildner is a Snohomish local who joined the firm in October of 2013 after graduating law school. Thom (“Tom”) Graafstra joined the firm in 1991 and was previously a Managing Partner. Tom now serves as an Of Counsel Attorney from his home in Eastern Washington. Senior Associate Attorney Erin Lewis joined the firm in January 2022 after serving as a prosecutor and assistant in-house city attorney. Associate Attorney Benjamin Goodwin joined the firm in June 2024 after serving two terms on the City of Lynnwood City Council. Associate Attorney Dan Curtis joined the firm in May 2023 while studying at the University of Idaho, and became licensed to practice in Washington in October 2025. Our attorneys are supported by five staff members who bring a breadth of work experience, education, and skills to support the firm and our clients.
