Nikki Thompson
Managing Partner Nikki Thompson joined the Firm in 2020 after serving as an in‑house City Attorney. In 2026, she celebrates 20 years of legal practice. She provides comprehensive legal services to a wide range of municipal clients, including cities, towns, and special purpose districts. Nikki has extensive experience across the full spectrum of municipal law. Her practice includes land use; contracting and procurement; drafting ordinances and resolutions; labor relations and collective bargaining; personnel and employment matters; public works bidding; real estate transactions; and compliance with open public meetings and public records requirements. She also advises on code enforcement and serves as a trusted counselor to all departments within municipal organizations. In addition to her advisory role, Nikki represents municipalities in litigation and supports clients in implementing effective risk‑management strategies and best practices. Nikki prides herself on working effectively and collaboratively with department heads, staff, elected officials, and members of the public. In addition to serving public clients, Nikki serves private and corporate clients in land use, boundary disputes, and real estate transactions. She was admitted to practice in Washington State in 2006, and the Federal District Court, Western District of Washington, in 2021.
